Repurposing & The Gear I Use

What are your dreams? Do you sometimes feel stuck and think you’re not moving ahead with your dreams? What do you feel gets in the way? I know for many people it can be frustration because they don’t have the proper gear or not enough money for the resources needed. I’ve been doing what I do for a long time now and I still don’t have all the “proper gear” but I think it is something that helps me come up with creative ideas! I also feel like sometimes we may not be ready and we have to spend a season using the most out of what we have.

One of my dreams is to record or perform with a choir - probably a children’s choir as my little musical anthems would be perfect for that! But that seems almost impossible! That is how I developed my style with lots of vocal layers. Only recently I was able to invest in this TC Helicon Voicelive Touch 2 and it was worth the wait! I mainly got it for the choir effects but before getting it I was developing my style and understanding harmonies on my own. Listen out for the “children’s choir” in my new single coming soon!

I don’t have all the proper mics to record but this helps me stay creative with how to get the best sound out of them or mixing vocals with different mics to create something new! Would I be ready for a better camera now? I’m sure I would be but up until now I have been developing skills and getting an eye for visuals and story scenes. So what is it that you can find around your house to “make do” to help you accomplish your goals and dreams? You might come up with something very unique because of this.

When writing the article below I thought about how we can apply this to our personal lives also. We make mistakes don’t we? Sometimes we can feel hopeless and live with regret but how about we use those mistakes for good. We can help and encourage others! We can turn a broken friendship into something new and turn that mess into a strong foundation!
